"KUALA LUMPUR: SIX private institutions of higher learning have come forward to provide scholarships worth RM16.5 million for Indian students. The scholarships, a joint effort with the Malaysian Indian Congress, will benefit 250 to 300 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students nationwide, said MIC vice-president Datuk S.K. Devamany.
"The scholarships are for both high-achievers and under-achievers, and could be used for skills training as well. "Those interested can apply through the MIC branches and divisions," he said when launching a seminar for SPM students organised by MIC Youth. The universities providing the scholarship are Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College, Binary University College, Nirwana College, Putra Intelek International College and HELP University."
